Turkish Ambassador Fahri Türker Oba has outlined Ankara's priorities in Sudan, emphasizing humanitarian solidarity, government cooperation and firm support for the country's unity and sovereignty.

Türkiye has delivered a renewed message of solidarity with Sudan, placing the welfare of the Sudanese population and continued cooperation with the country's authorities at the centre of its diplomatic engagement.
Ambassador Fahri Türker Oba conveyed Ankara's position after presenting his credentials to General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan's Sovereignty Council, at the Republican Palace in Khartoum.
Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem attended the official reception, which marked the formal accreditation of Türkiye's new diplomatic representative.
Humanitarian relief at the centre of Türkiye's priorities
Ambassador Oba described Sudan's current circumstances as particularly challenging and stressed the importance of assisting civilians affected by the prolonged crisis.
He said Türkiye's foremost objectives include easing the suffering of the Sudanese people and maintaining comprehensive support for the Sudanese government.
